Where superior design meets unsurpassed style
Like all most family homes, the kitchen becomes the hub, the place where everyone comes together.
This is the place of food entertaining and casual conversations.
Sophisticated and refined
Hamptons kitchens feature a large open plan living, which incorporates ease of access to family and dining areas. Light coloured stone bench tops with grey or blue veins atop shaker style cabinetry create a sophisticated workspace. Primarily off-white finishes are used for kitchen cabinetry but it should be noted that there has been a trend towards darker finishes to create a more dramatic and contemporary feel. Glass paned higher cabinet doors, subway tiled or marble splashbacks and an island bench with stools are part of the overall look, as are oversized pendant or lantern style lights in shiny chrome or glass finish.
A peaceful and calming retreat
This is where a sense of peace and calm is imperative and the Hamptons palette of
off whites and soft greys comes to the fore…
Nothing says Hamptons more than a window seat in your master bedroom – a great place to read and relax in your own personal space. Soft furnishings in your bedroom allow you to introduce accents of ocean inspired colour with texture also paying an important role. Choose chinz and quality linens with piping for cushions and linen throw rugs to create a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Dado vertical panelling, linen side able lights and muted floor coverings complete the Hamptons style look of your master bedroom.
A Hamptons Retreat
Hamptons-style bathrooms are classic, elegant and timeless. The choice is yours, some like the look of
subway wall tiles, while others choose large format ceiling to floor tiles to create a sense of spaciousness.
Stone bench tops and shaker style cabinetry are complimented with often ornate chrome or nickel plated handles. Decorative mirrors are the centre piece of the bathroom and can be quite impressive; these are embellished even further by being framed by sconce lighting on either side. Some people prefer a modern take on the classical, there is no right or wrong – just whatever suits your lifestyle. The traditional vintage Hamptons-style utilises ornate country style tapware and to complete the look, you could even consider a claw-foot bath.
