The Sutton 31

The small town of Bridghampton in the heart of the Hamptons, USA, has its own unique take on housing design and the Sutton 31 from Porter Davis is a gorgeous interpretation of the area’s coastal style.

On display in the Jubilee estate in Wyndham Vale, the Sutton 31 is truly one to fall in love with, its stunning looks and ambience set to entice families who value light-filled and oh-so-functional spaciousness.

Its crisp-white wall paint, beautifully accented with wall panelling and cabinetry in a timeless shade of Aegean blue, soft-grey carpeting, light-toned timber, and dreamy full-height sheers on windows capture the coastal feel with perfect subtlety.

Natural light

The flowing ground-floor layout has a floorboarded study area right at the front, making it great for street-gazing while working from home; this space abuts a sitting room (with that blue vertical wall panelling) that’s perfect for adult retreat or welcoming business clients.

The matte floor planks continue down the entry hall, past a smart powder room and laundry opposite, and on to the living domain and kitchen where the natural light is sublime.

For the cook and entertainer

The kitchen is literally wrapped in windows, with the blue appearing again in the bottom section of the white stone-topped island bench, while other seamless cabinetry is white and abundant.

Splashback tiles are textured soft-grey, while the rangehood is clad in the same shade of timber as the flooring – very chic. And dual ovens and a dream gallery pantry are the perfect accompaniments for cook and entertainer.

The classy alfresco area has a pair of ceiling fans in matte black, matching internal tapware throughout, and has easily enough space to set up an outdoor kitchen in the future.

Lavish main bedroom

Heading up carpeted stairs, you’ll find a living/games room, around which are ranged the four fitted bedrooms, and a stylish bathroom with freestanding tub, timber vanity, and contemporary tiling in pearl-grey.

The lavish main bedroom is a romantic retreat, with a panelled feature wall, and full-width/full-height sheers on one of two windows. It has a fab fitted walk-in robe, and a fittingly glam dual-basin ensuite.

Kerbside appeal

This Hamptons beauty has terrific kerbside appeal, and the design featuring eaves and portico is typical of Porter Davis attention to comfortable Australian liveability.
