Architecture has transformed a lot recently and now the modern family home must suit the ever-evolving Australian family, which can no longer be thought of as stock standard. Australian homes need to be versatile to cater for our diverse interests, with open plan living, multiple living spaces, and beautiful outdoor living solutions to optimise our warm weather (on a good day!).
The Dunedin 31 epitomises an idyllic family-friendly home, as the design is centred around distinct living zones. With the master bedroom up front, the core of the home opens up into a large family living zone comprised of the kitchen and dining area, a sectioned off family zone, study and home theatre. Towards the back of the home, the three additional bedrooms and rumpus provide a secluded and enviable kids zone.
The new King Island façade paired with the Bondi World of Style and a striking raked ceiling totally encapsulate the beach-side theme.
The Dunedin whispers “fresh” all year round, with a palette inspired by sand as much as the sea and sky.
A simple and crisp white is used as the base palette, creating a light and breezy aesthetic throughout. The addition of timber elements brings a sense of warmth, whilst the black accents create a striking architectural feel to the home.
With carefully placed splashes of colour we were able to add excitement to the home whilst still adhering to this contemporary theme.
