Step inside the Vermont 29

June 18, 2019 4min read

The Vermont 29 on display at Newhaven exhibits the power of space and timelessness, boasting a contemporary floorplan with light-filled open plan kitchen and living areas. This home carries the Porter Davis hallmarks of thoughtful and innovative design and epitomises luxe living.

High, raked ceilings and a raised entryway are just a few of the cutting, modern options available in this opulent Lifestyle home. Thoughtfully placed windows illuminate the kitchen space, while matte black features and a crisp white palette complement light timber floors and cabinetry.

The jaw-dropping alfresco is truly a dream for keen entertainers, creating an outdoor space that’s sure to be the centre of attention.

This one level design boasts a considered floorplan, with strategically placed bedrooms creating separate, relaxing spaces for the modern family.

A rumpus room toward the back of the home produces a designated kids zone, balanced out by an additional living space toward the entry.

The Vermont design is one that connects families while at the same time creating tranquil and private spaces throughout. In the bathrooms less is more, and stunning wall tiling is balanced out with a clean, contemporary palette of whites and timbers.

Features you’ll love…

Porter Davis Interior Designer, Koraly Fasone, explains how the Vermont floorplan can be optimised to bring a new level of luxury into your home.

Raked ceiling detail: “Our raked ceiling detail is always a striking feature. Applied to the Vermont floor plan, we were able to continue this detail through to the Alfresco and extended pergola to create a seamless integration of the three areas.”

Oversized windows: “With the benefit of a raked ceiling detail, oversized windows can be used to flood light into the main living areas as well as create a flawless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.”

Family room feature wall: “Again, by utilising the structure of the raked ceiling we found a great opportunity to create a stand-out feature in the family room wall. This wall is located at the rakes highest point and by highlighting this with a bold choice of wallpaper we managed to not only created a feature of its own, but help draw the eye toward the breathtaking ceiling.”
